This past Mother’s Day weekend we celebrated all the Mothers who came out with their families for Commellini’s first ever Mother’s Day Brunch! The sweet smells of brunch filled the air as our servers brought out all four courses. The menu was planned to give guests a variety of both savory and sweet while still remaining true to brunch favorites with a special touch. The special bellinis looked festive and bright amongst the tables. We even opened up the patio for those wanting to sit outside. The weather was perfect for those two days and allowed our guests to wander around after eating their meal. The Mother’s Day Brunch seemed to be a popular event, so we will most likely be doing one again next year. Thanks to all our guests who came out for this Mother’s Day success! First Course: Nonna’s Zeppoles: Our Italian donuts are fried golden sprinkled with sugar and served with red wine syrup, salted caramel, and chocolate espresso dipping sauces
Second Course: Citrus Fennel Salad: Orange, grapefruit, and shaved fennel bulbs served in a light citrus basil dressing and topped with toasted almonds
Third Course: Frittata: Homemade Italian sausage, mushrooms, spinach, onion, garlic, fresh mozzarella and parmesan cheese frittata served with roasted organic potatoes
Fourth Course: Pane Al Forno: Commellini Estate’s style French Toast with an espresso whipped cream, toasted walnut, pancetta and maple syrup
We offered a few sides in addition to the four courses. This delicious cranberry orange scone was one of them. Each mother received a complimentary Bellini and could choose between a peach, strawberry, or blueberry flavor. They turned out beautifully!
