In Summer 2016, Commellini’s was fortunate to host unique and beautiful weddings for Brides and Grooms that produced life-long memories. One of our favorite Summer Weddings was Amy and Clint Drury’s Creekside wedding in August, which featured elegant and distinguished details throughout the event. After their special day, we sat down with Amy to discuss her experience with Commellini’s and beyond. Take a look at our Q&A below.
Get to know Amy & Clint
Occupations? Amy- banking, Clint- Water Operator How did you meet? We were set up by our best friends Where are you from, respectively? Both from Spokane, WA First Impression of each other? Both of us didn’t want to be set up so it took a few months before we realized we liked each other What was your First Real Date? Went to scary wood as double date with the couple that set us up The Proposal? Went to bear creek sledding lodge on Mt. Spokane and he proposed on top of the hill Favorite ceremony moment? My dad’s speech Favorite reception moment? The dancing! Wedding Dessert? Just American desserts cake, highly recommend!! We had tuxedo flavor and vanilla with lemon filling First dance song? Best friend, Tim McGraw Any Touching speeches? Yes! Loved them Splurge? I would say everything we got was pretty reasonable, I highly recommended special touch florist! Beautiful flowers and reasonable. Also, loved the flexibility at Commelini’s with the food and drinks they were able to work something perfect with our budget! Day in three words? Beautiful, fast, emotional Wedding time? 5 pm Number of Guests? 110 Colors? Plum purple and grey tuxes, loved the darker color bridesmaids dresses against the old rustic buildings, the photos turned out great! Flowers or centerpieces? Centerpieces from Commellini’s, I really liked the gold candles and the gold wine bottles. My mom also made plum square napkins for the middle of tables to incorporate our colors. Didn’t have flowers as centerpieces and it was beautiful! Favors for guests? Didn’t do favors, we did do glow sticks which were a hit on the dance floor and made for some cool photos! Advice for other couples? Don’t stress about the details, it goes by so fast you won’t even notice if you forgot something or something goes wrong. We missed the sunset but it was OK because we got lots of other beautiful photos and we didn’t even care because we enjoyed the day so much. Try to say hi to every guest at dinner because it goes so fast and afterward you feel like you hardly got to talk to anyone! Wedding day weather? Beautiful! It was a little hot but cooled down at night. Honeymoon? Secrets Maroma Riveria, all inclusive resort in Cancun, Mexico. We highly recommend!
