Their Story

Jenifer & Russ, got married at Commellini Estate this past October. When we first met this couple we immediately fell in love with their fun-loving spirit.  Jenifer & Russ met at work back in 2015.  Jen sent Russ an email welcoming him to the department but this was merely a conversation starter to find out if he was single. Luckily, he was! They decided to see each other outside of work one day and it ended up turning into the beginning of their life together.

Occupations:

Russell is an IT Engineer. Jen owns an in-home childcare.

Hometowns:

Russell is from Coeur d’ Alene Idaho.  Jenifer is originally from Moses Lake Washington.

Proposal:

Russel proposed to me on Thanksgiving Day in front of my family. Everyone knew about it except me. It was very special because Russ knows how much I enjoy sharing special moments with my family.

Day in three words:

Romantic, Timeless, Fun

First Look

First Impressions:

Jen: “I was first drawn to Russell’s smile. He was genuine nice and super good-looking.”

Russ: “I thought Jen was gorgeous. I love her eyes, smile and definitely her laugh.

First Date:

We went to Silverwood.

First Dance Song:

When I Found You by Jasmine Rae

Bridal Party

Wedding Desserts:

We had Marsell’s Cakes make an assortment of decorative bite-sized cakes for our guests to enjoy.

Splurge:

The wedding and honeymoon were our splurges. We had a 2-year engagement, so we could save money to have the wedding and honeymoon of our dreams.

Wedding Theme:

Our theme was rustic elegance. It was simply beautiful with greenery, floral accents and candlelight.

Wedding Colors:

Navy blue, dusty rose and rose gold

Ceremony

Wedding time:

Ceremony started at 4:00 PM. The reception started at 5:30.

Number of Guests:

80

Wedding day weather:

It was a perfect 65 degrees and sunny. We couldn’t have asked for better weather for our fall wedding.

Favorite Ceremony Moment:

The moment I was walking down the aisle. Our eyes were locked on each other. It didn’t seem like anyone else was there but us. Our future together was closer with each step.

Reception

Favorite Reception moment:

Our first dance. It was a romantic moment between the two of us that made us feel like the only two people in the room.

Favors for Guests:

Blankets. We wanted to provide a cozy blanket to keep our guests warm during our outdoor ceremony.

Centerpieces:

Our florist (Special Touch) made beautiful greenery with an assortment of flowers surrounding a candle lit lantern.

Advice to other couples:

Take a few moments to celebrate with just the two of you between the ceremony and reception. Make sure to greet your guests and acknowledge their attendance. We didn’t personally greet a few of our guests before they left for the evening due to being busy and constantly being pulled in different. We felt bad about this and still do.

Honeymoon:

We spent eight days at Coco Beach Resort on the island of San Pedro, Belize. It was a dreamy and romantic tropical vacation in the Caribbean.
